Luxury US River Cruises by American Queen Voyages

The mighty rivers of the United States once served as the great highways of early exploration and inspired dreams of discovery. Today, American Queen paddle wheel ships take travelers these rivers to see the wonders and history of the mighty Mississippi and its tributaries. American Queen Steamship Company has 4 ships that sail the waters these rivers. The ships are all U.S flagged ships and sails with all American crew and staff. All the ships are All inclusive for the guests. This means all meals, beverages, shore excursions, 24-hour room service, free WiFi, on board entertainment and even a visit to the wheelhouse to see the river from the Captain’s view are included in passenger’s trip cost. There are even bikes and walking sticks to use to enhance your trip experience at no additional cost. Premium beverages are offered at small up-charge. The attire is Country Club casual. Flights and trip protection are additional.

The American Empress is the largest paddle wheeler west of the Mississippi. She sails Washington and Oregon on the Snake and Columbia rivers.
Their other 3 ships sail the Midwest and Eastern rivers of the United States. These are called Tributary River Cruises. Sailing up the Mississippi to Heartland of America. Traveling the lower Mississippi from New Orleans to Baton Rouge on to Memphis. Or travel from Memphis to Nashville. You can make a longer trip from St. Louise to Pittsburgh. The Upper Mississippi sailing travels from St. Paul, Minnesota to St. Louise. All these itinerates have a different feel, adventures and sights. The American Queen sails the Columbia and Snake Rivers from Spokane to Portland or reverse. You will cruise through the Columbia River Gorge, experiencing the serenity of wilderness and wine country in the Pacific Northwest. These ships are all ADA accessible and even have a few single occupancy rooms if there is a single traveler.

American Queen Voyages recently acquired a new line of ships that sail the costal waters of the United States and the Great Lakes. The new ships are called Ocean Victory, Victory I and Victory II. The Ocean Victory is an Expedition ship. The Victory I and II are more of a rest and relaxation ship experience. These ships are all inclusive, just like the American Queen River ships. These are not American Flagged ship and are not required to be ADA accessible. Sail through America’s historic five Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River, take a front row seat to Canada and New England’s impressive coastline, or Alaska’s remote indigenous villages. History and nature meet luxury on this stunning collection of itineraries.
