Wouldn't you love to see some beautiful fall foliage?
Then head to Boston and drive up to Maine. The best way to get there is fly to Boston and pick up a car. While you are in Boston visit, Faneuil Hall, Boston Common and the famous port and tall ships. You can even see U.S.S. Constitution. Theres also the Old North Church where Paul Revere got the signal to start his famous ride, the Freedom Trail.
On your way north, stop and the spookiest old town at the spookiest time of year, Old Salem.
Once you leave Salem, head north towards Maine, it will take you along the rocky Atlantic coast for spectacular scenery and lobster shacks along the way.
Visit Portland, Maine and stroll down the cobblestone streets lined with boutiques, cafes and art galleries. Next stop could be Bar Harbor for a lobster bake.
Don't miss picturesque Acadia National park, this is one of America's most visited national parks. Take a hike along the coastal road and see coastal forests. Drive along the scenic park road for a spectacular view from the summit of Cadillac Mountain where the sun first rises over the continental United States.
After you leave Acadia National Park, head west through Maine. Visit sparkling lakes surrounded by amazing fall colors, rent a bike, get a picnic and drive through some of the country roads.
Theres also New Hampshire and scenic White Mountains while you head back to Boston. There are cute villages and towns you can shop at, covered bridges to explore and drive through.
